History of the School:
De Paul’s Public School, Dotma came into existence on 14th December 2009. Mr Joshy Thuruthel(Joshy Baby), a Keralite along with his wife Mrs Gildamma Joshy and a few prominent personalities of the area began this institution as there were no proper English medium CBSE residential schools to cater to the educational needs of the students in this remote place .The school and hostels began to function as a full- fledged institution from April 2010. In the first year, classes were up to VII and year after year through up gradation a class each was added. Now, De Paul’s school has students up to class X.
In 2012, the school got provisional affiliation from the CBSE Board, New Delhi. The first batch students of De Paul’s public school appeared for their tenth class CBSE Board Examination in March 2014. There were 43 students including boys and girls. They secured very good results, all the students scoring above 76% marks and three students with 100% marks in all the subjects.
The second batch students who appeared for the tenth class Board Examination 2015 were 49. Of these, two students scored 100 % in all subjects , 40 students secured above 80% and 9 students got between 72 to 80 % marks.
In the current batch, there are 44 students and we expect all of them to come out with flying colours in the 2016 Board Examinations.
